Research Area

Organic Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry,

Research Interests

Designing, Synthesis & Evaluation of multi-targeting agents for the treatment of various neurological disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and depression. In my research group, compounds are being developed as inhibitors of monoamine oxidase enzyme, acetylcholine esterase enzyme and beta-amyloid to find potential drug candidates. Target compounds are being designed using molecular modeling and molecular simulation studies. The synthesized compounds are screened against enzyme-based assays to determine their multi-potent activity.
