About the Department

Physical education is an integral part of every individual life. It provides opportunities for students to get quality education with confidence, enjoyment and competence in area of physical activities. The department of physical education was established in the year 2019under the ambit of the School of Education. Since its inception, department is committed to the promotion of innovative physical education, competition oriented physical activity and sports for the overall development of the students of the nation. Committed to innovative and quality-based teaching and research, the department is in the process of expansion with teaching and research programmes.

Vision

  • Promotion and development of Physical Education, Nurturing and Grooming  of the Students to make them worthy citizens of the nation.
  • Impart knowledge based skills  to the learners and to enhance sports performance and develop entrepreneurship. 

Mission

  • Develop the competencies in motor abilities, tactical skills and movement analysis of sports.
  • Achieve the objectives of National Education Policy - 2020 through skill based learning.
  • Students engage in research and innovations in the field of physical education and develop critical understanding of curriculum and sport pedagogy.
